I don't have time to be sick

Did you ever wake up in the morning and wonder how it is you felt so good before falling asleep and now you feel like crap?

This house has been a sick zone for about 3 weeks and I worked very hard to not get sick. I have this big event coming up on Sunday and the last thing I need is to be coughing or blowing my nose.

So how did I wake up this morning? Coughing and blowing my nose. of course.

I am dosing like mad on Zicam, cough syrup and anything else I can get my hands on. What do you do when you feel that cold coming on? Especially when you have no freaking time to deal with it. Share, please.

And on another completely unrelated note....I hate to be micromanaged - especially by someone who claims to hate it as well. I will just never understand some things.

when i feel a cold coming on, i start lots of hot liquids and most especially homemade chicken soup! i just had a neurologist tell me its the first thing she puts all her patients on if they're sick... she said chicken soup is as miraculous as penicillin but no one seems to want to acknowledge it! so boil up a pot of the real stuff and give it a try!!! i swear by chicken soup, herbal tea and hot packs on your chest. hope you feel better really soon ... xoxox... annie

Jack Daniels and chicken soup - no kidding.

I have to agree with the alcohol comment. I drink whatever hard stuff we have @ the time and I'm not a drinker by any means. First of all, it puts me to sleep like a baby and second of all I just imagine it swigging around in me chasing around all the sick germs and knocking them out all belligerent-style throughout the night. I usually wake up a little groggier than usual - not a hangover by any means - but definitely less sniffles.

There's homemade chicken noodle soup in the fridge at my house. I made it this weekend, go ahead and grab some in the am when you are there with Timmy. It does need some salt in it! Love you.......

I try to schedule my illnesses, but they don't cooperate. Mucinex is good for coughs --- the real stuff, not the store brand. And of course, chicken soup, but you knew that.

I hope you feel better soon.

I have no solid advice, but I think rest and lots of lemon tea helps. Hope you feel better soon,
