I got picked for Arbitron.....and other things too!

So, our phone has been ringing for about a week and with the Comcast Triple Play, we can see the who is calling right on our TV.  Wow, right - the most lazy person's way to check the phone.

But I digress -- as usual.

The calls we were ignoring were from Arbitron.  I couldn't imagine what they wanted and I couldn't stand to keep ignoring the calls, so last night I answered.  And it was kind of neat.

They want us to be an Arbitron family.  It's amazing how many questions you need to answer before they accept you.  How many in your family over 16?  How many males/females, what about your ethnic origin?  All to ensure they are getting a random sampling of people.

Well, starting soon, we will be one of those families that count for something when the ratings come out.  I think that pretty exciting.  We'll see!

On another note, has anyone seen all the hoopla for the Carole King/James Taylor tour?  I have always like both of them, but I am just not sure how they will be together.  I have the feeling the whole thing could be quite maudlin.  But, on the other hand....it doesn't really matter since I can't afford the tickets...lol.

So the next few weeks are a flurry of activity in the Devonshire household.  We have a trip out to see the grand kids, Senior Prom, Finals, Graduation, a trip to the college for Freshman Orientation and a small family vacation.

I like being busy - it helps me to forget that my DS is turning 18 at the end of the week and that he leaves for college in August.  During which in the days that follow, I plan to lay prone on his bed in a catatonic state.  But more on that later...haha!

Catching up - Spring Swap

Well, I have been behind in my posting and most awful, I forgot to post the results of my lovely Spring Swap sponsored by ShortMama.  My swap partner was Miss Vodka Logic over here.  So first, apology for the lateness in posting, however my package did go out on time, so I am only late with this. (which is still not good :))

So here is the pile (and I mean a large quantity) of items I received.  Hint: There is even more in that pretty spring bag!

Everything is great, the spring colors, the frames and journals, plus the pink photo album (how did she know I love pink?).  Food?  Always perfect.  Then lotion that smells like food?  Even better.

But, I must admit this frame is my most favorite item.  I went nuts at Target with the Liberty of London line - tops, skirts, home decorating items - I thought this was the cutest line ever at Target.  so when I finished unwrapping all these gifts and saw this frame - I was just over the top.  I already have the totes that coordinate - and well, I am all about coordination, aren't I?

Thank you so much ShortMama and Vodka Logic.  This was fun and I hope to do another swap some time soon.

Well, I have lots more catching up to do, but in the meantime, please be sure to check out the swap ladies.

And I will be back talking to you soon.  So much to share, Cookie Lee (www.cookielee.biz/debienapoleon ) and home staging news and just life in general.
